Abstract

Currently, the trend of marine ornamental fish cultivation in Mataram City is showing an increase, especially since the Covid-19 pandemic. People who are more active at home channel their hobbies by keeping marine ornamental fish. Jingga Aquarium and Azka Aquatic are shops that sell ornamental fish and aquarium equipment in Mataram City. The sale of marine ornamental fish, especially clownfish, is constrained by high mortality. Through this service activity, the application of protein skimmers is expected to reduce the mortality rate. The result of this service is that the clownfish marine ornamental fish seller is able to prepare good cultivation media, acclimatize, and provide good feed. In addition, they are also able to apply protein skimmer technology and implement good and correct marine ornamental fish transportation. The mortality of marine ornamental fish, especially clownfish, decreased with the application of the protein skimmer technology. The initially 30% mortality can be reduced to 5%. The decrease in mortality causes an increase in the income of marine ornamental fish sellers.
