Edukasi Cara Menggosok Gigi Dengan Baik dan Benar Pada Siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ibrahimy Sukorejo Situbondo

Abstract

Health is an important aspect for supporting living things. One indicator is dental and oral health, especially oral health. Various kinds of diseases in the mouth such as periodontitis, canker sores, and dental caries (cavities). (Handayani Fitri et al 2016).

Dental caries (cavitation) is a decayed area inside the tooth that occurs as a result of a process that gradually dissolves the enamel (the hard outer tooth surface) and continues to grow to the inside of the tooth (Hamsafir, 2010). Caries is the result of the interaction of bacteria on the tooth surface, plaque, and diet) resulting in demineralization of the hard tooth tissue and requires sufficient time for its occurrence (Putri, M. H., Herijulianti, E., and Nurjanah, N 2010).

Education on using a good and correct toothbrush to prevent cavities. There are several efforts that can be made to prevent the accumulation of bacteria that cause dental caries, one of which can be done by cleaning the oral cavity and teeth using a toothbrush properly and correctly. (Anisa & Riniwasih 2020).
