Measuring acidity levels (pH) in catfish cultivation in Lumbangsari Village, Bululawang District, Malang City as an alternative method to prevent the growth of pathogenic bacteria
Abstract
In this modern era, catfish cultivation is a cultivation that is in great demand by the public. Catfish cultivation is considered optimal if the pH value is in the range of 6 to 9 and the temperature is between 26 and 30 °C. Unstable pH levels and temperature fluctuations cause poor water quality and are one of the causes of the extinction of fish species. Therefore, finding the right pH level for breeders' catfish ponds requires knowledge. The aim of this service is to provide knowledge to catfish farmers and breeders so they can use effective methods to regulate the pH of their cultivation ponds. This activity began with coordination and communication activities with Lumbungsari Village in Bululawang. Preparation means determining the purpose of the activity and the location of the activity. The results of this activity are as expected, and it is hoped that the activities carried out can contribute to increasing the results of catfish cultivation in Lumbangsari Village.
