PROCESSING FRUIT JUICE AS A HEALTHY DRINK FOR EARLY CHILDREN
Abstract
Early childhood children need a balanced nutritional intake to support their growth and development. Fruit juice can be a healthy alternative drink that is easy to consume and that children like. Fruit juice is rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber which are important for children's health. The benefits of fruit juice for young children include increasing vitamin and mineral intake, increasing hydration, increasing fiber consumption, and increasing appetite. Tips for preparing healthy fruit juice for young children are to choose fresh and ripe fruit, wash the fruit thoroughly, cut the fruit into small pieces, use a quality blender, avoid adding sugar, serve the juice immediately after making it, and give it juice in reasonable quantities. There are various variations of healthy fruit juices available for young children, such as orange juice, apple juice, pear juice, dragon juice, avocado juice.
