Kejahatan dalam Berbahasa pada Akun Twitter @CB: Kajian Linguistik Forensik

Abstract

This study aims to (a) analyze the form of language units and types of language crimes committed by @CB Twitter account and (b) analyze the identity of @CB Twitter account users in terms of language (idiolect/dialect/sociolect). This research is descriptive qualitative type. The subject of this research is the @CB Twitter account, while the objects in this research are (a) the form of language units, (b) types of language crimes on the @CB Twitter account, and (c) the identity of @CB Twitter account users. The data were collected by listening technique (advanced technique: simak bebas libat cakap) and screenshot stage, with data cards. The data were analyzed using interactive analysis method. The results of the study include (a) there are three forms of language units, namely one word, three phrases, and 13 sentences; (b) four types of crimes in language, namely eleven defamation, four incitement, one hate speech, and one threat; and (c) the alleged perpetrators are indicated to be from Indonesia and reside in Indonesia or from Indonesia and reside in Australia. This is based on several characteristics, such as (1) the presence of the flags of the Australian Federation of States and Canberra, (2) being Christian; (3) knowing and using Indonesian and Javanese dialects, like as <nek>, <mbok>, <numplek>, and <toh>; (4) understanding the social phenomena that are happening in Indonesia; (5) using English in some posts; and (6) a profile picture of a blonde girl.
