Korelasi Antara Metode Bermain Peran dengan Keterampilan Berbicara Siswa Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
The problem in this study is the lack of speaking skills of class III students at SDN 46 Mataram which results in a lack if interaction between teachers and students in the classroom. This is because the attitude of students who are still passive and have poor speaking skills. This study aims to determine the correlation between the application of the role playing method to students speaking skills. This type of research used in this research is descriptive correlation research, while the population in this study is students of class III SDN 46 Mataram and samples are students of class III SDN 46 Mataram, amounting to 30 people. To determine the sample used Nonprobablity sampling technique that is saturated sample. Collecting data in this study with the method of observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The results show that students carry out learning well using the role playing method, in addition students are more enthusiastic by showing active in speaking, confident to move forward and not shy to ask the teacher. Analysis of the data used is the product moment correlation formula. Based on the results of calculations using SPSS 16.0, it was found that there was a significant correlation between the application of the role playing method and the speaking skills of grade III students of SDN 46 Mataram in the academic year 2019/2020, which was a significance value of 0.002 which means <0.05 and also had a level the correlation 0.613 is in the strong category.
