Representasi Konsep Budaya Sebagai Solusi dalam Prosa Fiksi Indonesia

Abstract

The stories presented in fiction prose are not just stories that convey a set of life experiences. However, it also presents a set of knowledge in the form of concepts. The purpose of this study is to describe the representation of cultural concepts as a solution in the prose fiction by Hasnan Singodimayan. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The data sources of this research are from several fictional prose works by Hasnan Singodimayan, while the types of research data are words, phrases, and sentences related to the research objectives. There are two data collection techniques in this study, namely reading-intensive techniques and reading-sign techniques. The data collected is processed through the stages of collecting, selecting, and organizing. The technique for analyzing the data uses retroactive interpretive techniques. Based on the analysis, the results of this study found the concept of culture as a solution in terms of solving problems in society, solutions to disasters that befall, and solutions to socio-cultural issues.
