Pendampingan Orang Tua dalam Menghadapi Tantangan Pengasuhan di Era Digital

Abstract

Parental guidance in facing the challenges of parenting in the digital era is not only about controlling the use of technology but also about fostering a healthy and safe understanding of technology among the younger generation. Parents play a crucial role in protecting and educating children from the negative impacts of the digital era. The purpose of this community service is to provide guidance to parents so that they can effectively face the challenges of parenting in the digital age. This guidance activity uses a mixed-methods approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to parents before the material presentation, as well as interviews. The guidance was conducted with 43 parents from various kindergartens and Islamic schools (TK/RA) in Parepare city. As a result of this activity, parents' understanding of parenting in the digital era has significantly increased, enabling them to be more wise in supporting, educating, and protecting their children in the digital era.
