Penguatan Pola Makan Sehat sebagai Pencegahan Anemia Melalui Edukasi Isi Piringku dan Piramida Makanan di Kalangan Santri Putri
Abstract
Abstract: Anemia is one of the health problems that are often found in adolescent girls, especially in Islamic boarding schools due to lack of iron intake and nutritional knowledge. This community service activity aims to improve nutritional knowledge of adolescent girls at the Nurul Islam Sekarbela Islamic Boarding School as an effort to prevent anemia. Education was given to 8 respondents aged 15–17 years through a pretest, delivery of material about anemia, My Plate, and the Food Pyramid using leaflets, food flashcards, and food models, and a posttest. The results showed an increase in the number of correct answers on 13 of the 20 questions indicating an increase in understanding. The analysis used a paired t-test with a 95% confidence level. Technical constraints were overcome through small group discussions. This activity proves that an educational approach with interactive media is effective in increasing adolescent knowledge and awareness of the importance of balanced nutrition to prevent anemia.
